When acquisitions go wrong: Urchin

Nick Clarke | October 9, 2007

An interesting read about the popular Urchin analytics software used by a large percentage of websites to track who is browsing.

When Google acquisitions go wrong: the disappointing story of Urchin — arstechnica.com

I guess this kind of thing happens quite a lot but it is a shame that the customer must suffer. But of course Google will not comment on any issues, so I guess like most things it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

It does look like from wikipedia that the original staff from Urchin are doing quite ok within Google if their job titles are anything to go by.
